Who do we help?

Whether you are a prospective business aiming at making your business dreams a reality; a current business needing to expand, or someone who just needs a few business questions answered, the ComLinks Women's Entrepreneurial Business Center (WEBC) can help you. The WEBC assists current and prospective businesses in Franklin, Essex, Clinton and St. Lawrence counties, including the Akwesasne Reservation, providing business counseling and technical assistance and training to current and prospective businesses owned and controlled by women. (However, the WEBC is not discriminatory and also assists current and prospective male business owners.)

Working in partnership with the Adirondack North Country Association and other U.S. Small Business Association partners, the Center combines a solid training program with additional personal counseling and assistance services, peer work, and mentoring opportunities.

The Women's Entrepreneurial Business Center has recently upgraded its training facilities to include a new computer lab and multimedia training room. With these additions, the WEBC can offer trainings in-house and our clients can use our facility to write resumes, perform market research, and receive business counseling in one convenient location.

 
   
 
 
ComLinks WEBC is one of 21 new women's business centers being established by the SBA nationwide to privide programs and services that particularly meet the needs of female entrepreneurs, in partnership with nonprofit organizations with demonstrated capacity and experience in identifying, encouraging and supporting women-owned business ventures. One of 105 centers nationwide, ComLinks WEBC is one of only seven in New York State.
